The third round of Czech nationals took place on nice track in Horni Jeleni. Local club did great job and prepared everything great, thank you! On Friday we had, as usual, free practice. We made couple of changes on both my XB8â™16 and XB8Eâ™16 and at the end of the day I was super happy with both cars.
In 1/8E qualifications my XB8Eâ™16 worked flawless, but I made several mistakes in Q1&Q2. However fastest run of the class in Q3 meant that I took the overall TQ with Max Gotzl in 2nd and Ales Bidovsky in 3rd!
In 1/8IC qualifications every round had different winner, but my TQ time from Q1 was the fastest, which meant overall TQ! Max Gotzl finished 2nd and Jiri Mara 3rd.

| In 1/8E main final my Orion powered XB8Eâ™16 on PL HoleShot X3 was dialled and quickly got away from the field & took the win! Max Gotzl & Ales Bidovsky completed the podium in 2nd & 3rd â“ TOP 3 for XB8Eâ™16! Big congratulations to young Jakub Hybler, who made his first nationals final, nice run! |

In 1/8IC final me & Jiri Mara fought for the lead at the beginning, but after about 20 minutes my FX powered XB8â™16 was in the 1st position with almost a lap in front 2nd driver and won the race! However when the race was over and I came down the rostrum, my mechanics told me that the last 3 minutes my transponder counted every 2nd lap. After some discussions my overall position was 4th, which was a bit disappointing for me as I knew my package was perfect and deserved the win.
